The Great MigrationThe Great Migration and the Loyalist Migration were two different events in Canada. The Great Migration began after the War of 1812. An increasing number of people of British and other backgrounds began to move into Upper and Lower Canada.
This chapter will be explored through an inquiry project. You and a partner, will look to answer the question How was the Great Migration of 1815–1850 in Upper Canada and Lower Canada an attempt to confirm British identity in the Province of Canada? When you and your partner have figured out the question, you will take a look at the PBL Menu below to help come up with some ideas for the type of project you would like to do. |
